Why We Give

Because of your generosity, lives are being changed.

Giving is a natural response for believers of Jesus Christ. We receive God’s love and grace, and out of the overflow of a grateful heart, we give. By being generous, we honor the Lord, and His work on earth is advanced. As a result, lives are changed and we experience joy. Giving, therefore, is not something we want from you; giving is something we want for you.

When giving online, we recommend you create a Northview account. By creating an account you can schedule your giving and view your giving history. Guest giving is also available for one-time gifts. Giving online is safe and secure.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act suspends limitations on cash gifts. Individuals must normally limit their charitable deduction for cash gifts to no more than 60% of their adjusted gross income. For 2020 only, individuals making cash gifts to a church may elect to increase this limit to 100% of their adjusted gross income. This is an opportunity for those planning major cash gifts to eliminate or greatly reduce income taxes in 2020. Also, the limitation on deductible corporate cash gifts to churches has been increased from 10% to 25% of the corporation’s taxable income.
