Ascent 121
Summary:
Using best practices with a continuum of care, Ascent 121 provides trauma-informed therapy services that are survivor-centered and strengths-based. Survivors of sex trafficking present with unique needs for clinical support, and Ascent provides both rapid and long-term interventions to help teens resist returning to their previous behavior. Much like substance abuse, relapse is a difficult part of recovery that Ascent helps teens to work through.
Ascent 121 programs provide a continuum of care throughout their treatment process, utilizing a multiphase treatment approach to provide comprehensive treatment specifically designed for each teen. Staff are responsible for providing: assessment, community-based therapy, residential programming, and case management. Volunteers are able to provide support to both staff and kids, writing notes of encouragement, raising funds, and serving on one-off projects as needed.
Note: due to the complexity of the trauma that the survivors have experienced and to protect their privacy, Ascent 121 does not have volunteers work directly with the kids.
