Wheeler Mission

Details:

Wheeler is a non-denominational, Christian, social services organization, which provides critically needed goods and services to individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, and need in Central and South Central Indiana without regard to race, color, sexual orientation, creed, national origin, or religion. Founded in 1893, Wheeler is the oldest continuously operating ministry of its kind in the state of Indiana. 9 locations, dozens of ministries, a $16.2 million budget, and 180+ employees. Wheeler is the largest and most diverse ministry of its kind in the state.

Wheeler has no shortage of volunteer needs across each of their facilities, including their men's facilities, women's and children's facilities, warehouse, and thrift shop. Your gifts and talents could make the difference for one person experiencing a homeless crisis. Whether you are logistically minded and want to serve in the warehouse, drawn to personal connection, and want to serve meals to our neighbors, or even have cosmetology in your background, and could volunteer your time giving haircuts - there is a place for you to serve at Wheeler. If you would like more information about serving solo, or bringing a group, use the link here. For any questions, please reach out to the Northview Staff member included below.
