Details: Circle City Relief serves in the IPS School 60 parking lot every Sunday afternoon. They serve approximately 150 people every week with rescued Little Caesars Pizzas, Chick-fil-A, and City Barbecue, as well as fresh produce and soup & drinks. CCR served over 624,000 slices of pizza and over 2.4 Million food items in its first ten years, and has no plans to stop growing that number!
Serving with CCR involves two phases. The first is reheating and packaging all the food items, and loading tables and chairs into the trailer at their base location. The second is serving the community by providing those items, as well as guiding people to local resources and connecting them to solid biblical counseling from the school parking lot. Willingness to love the "least of these," as Jesus mentioned in Matthew 25, is the only requirement for those looking to serve. Typically finish up between 1:30-2:00 pm.
