Give Pray Serve Questions

Last year as a church we raised over $75,000 to bless our local school partners. Your generosity provided 500 headphones for an entire elementary school, 200 portable desks for students, 500 backpacks full of school supplies, and many school uniforms, hygiene items, shoes and other things that help students feel confident when starting the school year.

This worked so well last year that we want to encourage you to give again to fill a tangible need for our local schools.

Give

An example of what your money might go to is:

$20 could provide a student with a backpack full of supplies.
$50 could supply noise-cancelling headphones for 6 students
$100 could provide 7 sets of school uniforms
$500 could provide clothes, shoes and hygiene items for an entire classroom.

Pray

The pandemic has made education very difficult this past year. In addition to giving, our goal is to surround our local school partners in prayer and volunteer our time through service projects created to bless the schools.

Every campus will have a school bus with tags on them, and each tag will include a school staff members name and their school. As a church, we want to commit to praying for those who pour into the lives of students daily. By taking a tag, you are playing a role in blessing these schools through prayer, giving and serving.

Are you an educator that considers Northview home? We want to know who you are so we can lift you up in prayer this school year, as well and include your name on a tag. Please let us know who you are here.

Serve

We are organizing several serving opportunities to bless our local schools. Select your campus to sign up to serve.

Questions

Are we still providing backpacks to students in need?

Yes and no. We are asking our local school partners first and foremost what is needed at their school, and sometimes the need will be for backpacks and school supplies. Last year we were able to provide headphones for students, school uniforms, portable desks for e-learning, basic hygiene items, and shoes for students. By asking our school partners what is needed most, it honors them in a way where we are truly able to BE the church to our community and be a church that is FOR our local schools both the students and the staff.
